Helping the Stevens Family Move In
August 11th, 2018
Thanks to all those who were able to help Mark Stevens move into his new home this past Saturday. We had a good turnout and the Stevens were appreciative. When you get the chance, be sure to introduce yourselves to the Stevens and welcome them into the Quorum.
Service at Ed Lane's Place
July 14th, 2018
9 Quorum members, 5 Black widows, 2.5 hours of yard work, and a cooler of drinks made for a great Saturday morning of service at Ed Lane's place. Thanks for all who came out. Ed was incredibly grateful and his place was looking great.
Moving the Dotsons and Cuffs
July 2nd & 3rd, 2018
Thank you to all who donated their backs and brawn to help the Dotsons with their move out and the Cuffs as they moved in. We wish the Dotsons well on their move and we would like to extend a welcome to the Cuffs! We look forward to getting to know the Cuffs better and we are excited to have the Cuffs as part of our ward.
Installing a Fence at the Alder’s Home June 30th
We had a great group of about a dozen elders and high priests show up Saturday June 30th to help install a fence at back of the Alder’s property line. They were pretty amazing and had the fence posts installed within an hour and half. Brad Wilson deserves the coach of the year award for his expertise and teaching everyone what to do. Without him we were lost. The MVP award goes to Scott Sanders who got more done on his own than the rest of us combined. The best salsa and pulled pork sandwiches award goes to Mike and Marian Alder who made sure everyone had plenty of JDawgs sauce to go with their delicious sandwiches. Thank you Alders for letting us be of service and helping our quorum draw closer as we served together.
Hauling Concrete out of the Brady’s Home June 14th, 2018
Thank you to everyone who came and helped haul concrete out of the Brady’s basement. We had a great turn out. Thank you Brady Family for letting us show our love and gratitude to you for all that you’ve done for our ward, neighborhood and especially our kids. Some of you may not know that Josh Brady has taken our deacons quorum members out on a camp out once a month for many years now. The time and effort he spends planning, mentoring, and teaching our youth is astounding. Thank you Josh. We’re ready for round two if ever you need us.
Neighborhood Rototilling Service Project April 21st, 2018
Thank you Darin, Brad, Scott, Joe, Jeff, Doug, Kyle, Todd, and James for providing wonderful service for the annual Elders Quorum service project. It took about two hours, tilled about 9 gardens, ate about two dozen doughnuts, drank five cups of chocolate milk, and 2 cups of orange juice. We had a great turnout, all were uplifted (including Bro. Alder's Maple sapplings...oops), and we received many words of gratitude and love from those we served. Well done Elders Quorum!
Scott going to town!
A little extra credit for repairing a greenhouse.
